There is absolutely no way I could, or would, look a 7-year old child in the face and deny them food...or anyone for that matter. Holy smokes people...IT IS A CHILD!!! Really??? Call the parents with a warning...send home a reminder note...but to punish a child by denying food because his PARENTS, not him, arent paying the bill is so unkind there are no words. By the sounds of it, this child is fortunate enough to get at least one decent meal in his day, and that lunch lady turned him away. Mmmm??? Not the decision I would have made. There are many different choices that would have led to a more pleasant outcome. And I pray the next time placed in this already awkward situation the lunch lady makes a healthier decision.
