There is actually some really cool history behind Poland and Lithuania I learned from Hetalia. Back when the two countries were an alliance (the Jagiellonow Dynasty), they once fought against Prussia in the Battle of Tannenberg in 1410. At one point, the Lithuanian army seemed to flee, leaving Poland defenseless and Prussia seemingly victorious. However, the Lithuanian army was only pretending to flee, and came back in an a massive attack, catching the Prussian army off guard and winning the battle!
