There is an Angel that lives in Mississippi. I met her the day after a drunk driver crashed thru the thrift store she runs to fund the rescued cats in her charge. Her name is Carla & Im asking you to please help her rebuild her life so that her rescue efforts may continue. Few people impress me. Carla Cook Shaner has an inner light, a pureness a rare quality that few rescuers possess. Carla rescues cats that nobody wants & does so quietly & without want of recognition. Cats need her. We all need her. This drunk driver took away her ability to care for the homeless cats in her charge. Her store is closed. A huge hole is patched where the recklessness of one troubled soul crashed thru the walls robbing Carla not only of the income to feed & house the cats but also killing a mama cat & her kittens. Carla had found the little family taped inside a box - all nearly at deaths door due to the heat. They were nursed back to health & were on their way to living happy little purry lives. A drunk driver took away their last hope at life. This could be a tragic story with a horrible ending. But Im asking your to help Carla. To help her rescued cats.
