There is an interesting excerpt from a Kabbalisitc book “Zohar” (The book of Splendor), (I’ve translated it into Russian and English). Would that be an appropriate way to deal with anger and hurt? Rabbi Abba was sitting near the gate of the city of Lod, saw how one man came and sat down on a rock protruding from the slope of the mountain. He looked tired from a long day, and quickly fell asleep. At this time, there appeared a snake slithering toward him, and immediately also jumped animal, called kostefa degordena, attacked the snake and killed it. When the man woke up, he saw a dead snake lying in front of him. He got up and the stone, on which he sat, broke away from the mountain and fell into the abyss. If he hesitated only for a moment, he would also fall with it. Approached him Rabbi Abba and asked: ‘tell me about yourself, because God have created two miracles for you: First, saved from the snake, and second, didn’t let you fall into the precipice. It cannot be that it was all coincidence. ‘ Man responded: ‘All the days of my life, if a man did me wrong, I tried to make peace and forgive him. If I could not make it up to him, I didn’t go to bed until I was able to forgive him, and also others, who have caused me pain. And also in the future I did not hate him for what he did wrong. Moreover, from this day on I tried to do only good to these people. ‘ Rabbi Abba wept and said, ‘the merit of this man is greater than Joseph’s. For in Joseph case, his brothers caused him harm, and it is clear that he has shown compassion for them because of brotherly love. But this man does so with all the people. Он выглядел устав-шим от пройденного пути, и быстро заснул. В это время появилась змея, ползущая прямо на него, и тотчас же выпрыгнул зверек, называемый «костэфа дэгордэна», напал на змею и убил ее. Когда человек проснулся, он увидел мертвую змею, лежащую перед ним. Он встал и камень, на котором он сидел, откололся от горы и упал в пропасть. Если бы он замешкался хотя бы на мгновение, то упал бы вместе с ним. Подошел к нему рабби Абба и спросил: «расскажи о себе, ибо Всевышний сотворил два чуда для тебя: первое, спас от змеи, и второе, не дал упасть в пропасть. Не может быть, чтоб это было все просто так». Ответил ему человек: «во все дни своей жизни, если какой-то человек делал мне зло, я старался помириться с ним и простить его. Если же не мог помириться с ним, то не ложился спать пока не сумел простить его и также других, причинивших мне боль. И в дальнейшем также не испытывал ненависть к нему за содеянное зло. И более того, с этого дня и далее старался делать только добро этим людям». Заплакал рабби Абба и сказал: «более велики заслуги этого человека, чем у Йосифа. Ибо Йосифу сделали зло его братья, и понятно, что он проявил к ним сострадание из-за братской любви. Но этот человек так поступает со всеми людьми. Выше чем Йосиф он, и заслуживает, чтобы Всевышний творил для него чудо за чудом»*. facebook/kabbalahandmeditation
