There is currently much propaganda on television right now about Florida Amendment 2. Any person who has taken the time to educate themselves on the matter would not fall for the lies and propaganda that the anti marijuana groups are spending millions on; unfortunately, most dont take the time to find the truth. That truth is that in the history of mankind not a single person has ever overdosed on marijuana. Currently, I live everyday of my life in pain. Some days are better than others, but there is never a day without pain. I have 2 choices. I have been offered unlimited prescriptions on a nerve drug called gabapentin or narcotics. I am currently on the maximum dose of gabapentin, and it is ineffective. I have been offered percocet, but warned I would eventually become addicted, no doubt, my doctor was certain about that, but offered anyways. I turned it down. The irony is that my nerologist said she was really sorry she couldnt prescribe marijuana for me (this was CA after all, legal for over a decade). She said it was proven to work in university studies, but she knew I was in the military. My only option was continued pain, or addiction. I find it strange that the military would have no issue with my addiction as long as I had a prescription. But take something 100 percent safe and non habit forming (less than 10%) and I would lose my pension. Please vote yes on FL Amendment 2. marijuana may not work for me, but at least it would be a sane option on a bad day. I would like to stay away from opiates please.
