There is just some music that for me captures the Cascadian landscape and feeling. Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nirvana, Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress by the Hollies, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan when he had a cold during his recording of Knocking on Heavens Door and Lay Lady Lay. These songs and musicians bring a rush of memories and moods into my mind. The smell of wool in the moist mountain air. The mist clinging to a fir covered hill. Boulders covered in moss in a small river like the Lewis. The heavy smell of smoke in the air and in the nostrils. The taste of smoke on the tongue. The pitch in fire wood.
