There is no harder work than parenting. It can bring the worst of you, but God, can bring the best out of you. When you get your kids, you wont have time to figure out how to be a parent - you will be overwhelm and sleep deprive. 2) Even though if you are not going to be a parent, you are still the PRODUCT of parenting. Your parents made somethings GOOD and somethings BAD, and affected YOU in enduring ways. YOU have a lot of baggage in your live, both good and bad, that you have received from your parents. See the success and give thanks to God, the good DECISIONS they made, and give thanks. BUT also you need to acknowledge what they did wrong. IF you do not pay attention, you will fall into the SAME bad habits you saw modeled for you in your home growing up; AND THEN, you will end up passing those bad habits into your kids. Unfortunately, that is what Jacob did. He inherit his father sins and he passed onto his kids, BECAUSE he was not paying attention.
