There is nothing strong about a "Christianity" which requires - TopicsExpress

There is nothing strong about a "Christianity" which requires government to protect and enforce its specific moral codes beyond that which liberty requires. That "Christianity" as law is no better than Sharia law or other forms of religious rule in which the individual liberty of the "immoral" is legally prohibited or punished in contravention to liberty. It is important to understand what liberty is to grasp this though. That liberty being as Thomas Jefferson stated, unobstructed action within the limits of the equal rights of others. To the contrary, that Christianity which leads by example and charity, as Christ did, instead of force is a true strong Christianity.
