There is one Voter restriction law that few people think about and fewer care. If a person commits a crime, he is in many States forbidden to vote ever for the rest of his Life. That affects a sizable number of people. It is not likely a coincidence that these law exist mostly in Republican controlled States and most heavily affect people that would usually vote Democratic. I usually reject conspiracy theory, but People most often charged and convicted with crime are not the people that tend to vote Republican.
