There is only one vote going the right way in Seattle that I care - TopicsExpress

There is only one vote going the right way in Seattle that I care about today - and thats in the suburbs - $15 minimum wage for airport workers at Seattle Tacoma International Airport. My mayor is losing, the council is being converted to a district based system, publicly funded elections are losing, Kshama Sawant is losing the council race versus Conlin. UGH. Were going to have a lame-ass mayor who doesnt have any urgency in his attempts to do anything, a shittier city council than we already have - I mean, Look at Chicago and how well the aldermanic wards have served its system - Every mayor since 1955 said, uh, Go to hell Council, give me the power, or I will veto every single thing you try to pass because you all are too attached to your neighborhoods and cant see the whole picture for the city. Except, no mayor would last more than a term, if theyd even last their term if they tried to do that in Seattle, so now Seattle is even more hopelessly lost to the infamous, shitty, slow, pointless, overly time consuming Seattle PRocess That mostly just kills every idea that includes changing things for the better with enough time delays. GRRRRROOOOOWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLL.
