There is politeness, not starting arguments or being judgmental of other peoples beliefs. how ever I think When I refrain from talking about what I believe and/or how I feel to the point where I am walking on egg shells, not being me in order to not offend someone I am attempting to manipulate that person into feeling or not feeling a certain way or into seeing or not seeing me a certain way. I am telling them that they are so un-trustable or irresponsible with their feelings and reactions that I must control their feelings for them by not being me in front of them. In my opinion it is a statement that their beliefs are so weak that hearing mine would put theirs in danger causing them to not be free to believe what they choose to believe......that seems offensive and dishonest to me, more then someone who respectfully shares their beliefs or just believes in front of others. Just like Government having and enforcing restrictive laws about where, when, how I can share my beliefs doesnt seem to me like separation of church and state. I dont mind you telling me anything you want about your beliefs...in fact Im very interested. I find so many beliefs seem to be just one side step away from each other. We are so separate yet so connected. (anybody else have long winded unprovoked thoughts when procrastinating on other things? lol)
