There is such thing as helping somebody too much. It can hurt them and you. You dull their ability to acquire the skills to help themselves and if they lean on you too much and you slip than you become viewed as the source of their troubles. Its tricky but it happens. That whole teach a man to fish idea is necessary. I personally like the quote that goes When you point the finger to blame you give up the power to change yourself and your circumstances..
