There is the central Self...you can call it God or whatever you - TopicsExpress

There is the central Self...you can call it God or whatever you like...and its all of Us... It is playing the game of hide-and-seek with itself...it gets lost.. BUT in the end, it always wakes up and comes back to itself.. Ad when you are ready to wake-up, youre going to wake-up.... And if youre not ready, youre going to stay , pretending youre that youre just a poor, little me! So then, when youre in the way of waking up and finding out who you really are, you need a character called a guru...the teacher...the awakener.. who looks at you in the eye and asks: Who are You? .. Youre looking at me, looking out...and youre unaware of whats behind your eyes...Go back in, go find out who you are, where the question comes from, why you ask.. There are all sorts of tricks the gurus play (they put you through the mill) and they do that simply because you wont wake-up until you feel youve paid the price for it...in other words, the sense of guilt that one has or the sense of anxiety is simply the way one experiences, keeping the game of disguise going on.........But that sense of guilt is is the veil across the Sanctuary; Dont you dare come in!! first you have to fulfill all kind of requirements. ...So you go through the mill..Why? Because this your saying to yourself: I wont wake-up until I feel I deserve it...until Ive made it difficult for me to wake-up.... So , I invent for myself an elaborate system delaying my waking-up...I put myself through this test & that test, and when I feel its been sufficiently arduous, then I may at last admit to myself who I really am....and draw aside the veil and realize that after all, when all is said and done, I AM THAT I AM, which is the name of GOD.... And when it comes to it, thats rather funny...it says in Zen, When you attain Satori, nothing is left to you in that moment, than to have a good laugh! So its a question fundamentally; Do you define yourself as a victim of the world?....or as The World? Alan Watts
