There is this 73 year old greek/russian man who has been coming to my shop in Midlothian, since I opened. After the second time he came in, he showed us some pics of his wood carvings, so I asked him to carve me a lion for my brother (Phil). He said no lady, I dont do it for money anymore only for hobby and I am not making you no lion. I said okay. I asked him 2 more times over the month or so, and he said lady my final answer is NO! He has been in here about 20 times since then, and I never asked him again about it. He comes into my shop 3 days ago and spends the day with us, he comes into my office that evening and says hey lady print out a nice lion picture because I am going to make it for you and your brother. I was so excited! I told him I would find a nice one over the next couple of days. He comes into my shop the next morning, and says oh man lady, what did you do to me? You and your brother were very tight, and you guys are still very close, he made me feel that last night. Lady, I have never had this happen to me in my 73 years of life, and your brother has a very strong spirit. Last night I was jolted awake at 2:00am, and your brother imprinted this lion in my head and make me feel like this is the one he wants me to carve. I started drawing it at 2 in the morning. I said Wow Paul, that is an awesome story, he said no story lady this is real life and this really happened - look I am getting bumps (goose bumps). He said man I am religious, but not church religious but I cant believe what happened to me last night as he is blessing himself. He then says the first day I came in here, I knew you were a very special lady. You are very loyal to all your family, and your brother loves you. I will never forget you lady, your brother or the lion. He comes in here today with this picture that he drew for the carving he will be doing for Phil. This man almost brought tears to my eyes... He is definitely one of my FAVORITE old men!!! I cant wait to see the carving, when its done...
