There once was a woman who had 10 pieces of silver. These coins were very valuable to her, but not only that; they were a sentiment, much like a wedding ring. She was a Palestine woman and it was tradition to be given 10 pieces of silver in the same way that we are given a wedding ring. There came a day that the woman took out her coins to admire them and she discovered she had lost 1. She lit a candle and swept the floor, seeking diligently until she found it. How many times have you lost something? Your car keys, glasses, cell phone, maybe your wedding ring, something of value to you. Didn’t you become worried, anxious, frantic even, diligently seeking for that which was lost… Have you ever lost something in your life… not a person or any sort of tangible, material thing but I’m talking about your Zeal, Peace, Joy, Contentment, Self-Control, maybe your Salvation… When you discovered that a piece was missing did you begin searching for it like you do your car keys or your cell phone or did you eventually learn how to live without it, forgetting that you ever had it. Matthew 7:7 Tells us Ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find. 8 for everyone who asks receives and he that seeks finds. In Deuteronomy 4:29 God says But if you seek the Lord you shall find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. It is time that people start seeking for the things that they have lost in the Lord. It is time that people become concerned with the things that they once had in the Lord, it is time to be like the woman who lost her coin; she lit a candle to let light into the room, it is time people allow the light into their lives to expose the dark places it is time men and women get out the broom and sweep out the things that they have allowed into their lives that have stolen their joy, their peace, for some even their salvation. It is time to clean out the clutter to get rid of the things in your life that have covered up Jesus. When I lose something, I will backtrack in my mind what I was doing the last time that I used whatever it is that I have lost. I will go back through the house and retrace my steps to remember what I did next in order to try to remember what I have done with what it is I have lost. It is time that people start to think about what they had with the Lord, where their lives were headed, how well their lives were going. It is time You retraces your steps and remember what you had and what changed, when and how you lost your coin. Most of the time in my reminiscing, my mind will grow more clear and as I start to move things around and sort through things clean up the house a bit I begin to remember what I might have done with whatever it is I have lost. As I grow closer to finding it, I get more of an intense desire to search for it. I pray for You today that you will get that desire to find whatever it is you have lost. I pray that you will get the desire to find what is missing and start seeking after it. Jeremiah 29:13 says You will seek me and find me when you seek with all your heart. The word says You will find me WHEN you seek me… IT is up to You today. It is up to you to start searching for that which is lost. God is faithful, his word it Truth it will not return void. When the word says seek me and you will find me, He will be found of you but you have to seek him with your whole heart. You have to desire him and his spirit and his presence with everything that is in you and he will be found. It is not Gods will for you to live a half-hearted, lukewarm, backslid life. He came so that you might have life MORE ABUNDANT. He put every promise in the Bible for you and me. Why don’t you girt up your mind today and start seeking, start desiring for the things of the Lord. He wants YOU to succeed in his Kingdom. He wants to Bless You and Pour out his spirit upon you. He wants you to have Joy Unspeakable and Full of Glory, Peace that Passes ALL Understanding; that is Gods will for your life. Why don’t you start dusting and sweeping today. Let the light shine in and start searching for that coin. Why don’t you get a desire for the anointing that breaks every yoke of bondage, Why don’t you get a desire for the holy spirit, for the ministry, for the Kingdom of God today. Hebrews 11:6 He is a rewarded of them that diligently seek him.
