There seems to be a concern circulating regarding the possibility of a person having entered a residence on base earlier. We are investigating this alleged incident at this time; however, neither the gender, nor the identity of this alleged person have been confirmed and this investigation is ongoing. Be vigilant and lock your doors and vehicles; however, please do not perpetuate panic via Social Media. Nothing has been confirmed and there are currently no serious safety concerns for residents. Despite that, we have increased patrols in the PMQ residential area as a proactive Policing and Security measure for our members. If anyone has any information with regard to this incident, please feel free to call the Kingston Military Police Detachment at 613-541-5648. Please also be cognizant that this is an ongoing investigation and be aware of the viral nature of social media - as well as how it can affect a Police investigation.
