There seems to be a different kind of need that some people are having just to be able to get help with diapers that I really never took into consideration until lately. I have recently been contacted by a few that do not have transportation to get to one of the partners in order to get help. Not only can they not afford diapers, but they either dont have the gas or even a vehicle to put gas into and public transportation is also costly and many times they do not have bus fare. I think I would like to create another volunteer position for Drivers who could pick up diapers at the diaper bank and deliver to those who need help. Sort of like a Diapers on Wheels program. . I am not sure what kind of legal responsibility this would entail, so I need to check that out, with the powers that be, but I wanted you all to be thinking about this and let me know if you would be interested if we can do it, or if you feel it would be a bad idea. Nothing is ever cut and dried so I dont want to hear judgment, just possible solutions to the problem. It is not an everyday situation, but if could be a monthly run if we get people who qualify, We would of course qualify those individuals first to make sure they do qualify for the service.
