There seems to be a trend as of late where scientific advanced, unbeknownst to the public, seem to quite often be discarded out of fear of ill effects. There are many diseases and negative traits that exist. Among the laymen, these diseases tend to be mystical in nature. After all, how would you explain to a guy who has never taken biology and has no idea what cellular replication is, what cancer is? They hear the word cancer and immediately think that cancer is a disease, which is understandable since thats common knowledge. But quite often thats where their understanding stops. They go no further than the simplest explanation of a disease. They have no idea what causes the disease or how the disease even occurs. Its sad that in this day and age, people attribute new scientific underpinnings toward diseases that they know little of. Even people who partake in the biological sciences have begun to follow the hype. Just because we do not know the cause of a disease does not mean we can attribute that disease to all sorts of things. Ive heard that vaccines cause autism, cancer and many many many other diseases. And... those same diseases are also caused by GMOs... And by gluten... And by *enter fad here* They apply the same diseases to different causative agents because they do not understand what causes those diseases. This isnt a movement based on science. This is a movement based on fear.
