There was a lot of love last night at the Humboldt Bay Inn...it is always such a pleasure to see our Friends that come each year traveling for the holidays , EVERY year...and the kids are all growing up . I met a sweet group last night who were on their way to Crescent City because the Hubs is from there ..and he and his wife, Jenny and their son stopped in Eureka to meet up with their Army buddy..you see, they were all stationed in Germany years ago and hadnt seen their buddy in 9 years ...such a great story and so much love ...thank you for the visit, Jenny, and the big hug : ) I really do like you and hope to see you all again. I gave everyone the Old Town Tour and they loved it ...they tell me that it makes the Eureka experience seem magical ...to be driven in a limo by me and shown around the town : ) I dont have the words to express how this makes me feel ...I guess love is the closest word...its a deep bond that we all dont ever forget...Ive been touched by so many people in my work, such a real blessing . There is a sweet ,beautiful lady who went for a ride of courage last night and we all helped her along....Um, I walked into the lobby and there was a couple and I greeted them ...they wanted to go to the Sea Grill and then six who wanted Brick and Fire ...well, we couldnt get them into Brick and Fire ...SOOO , Five Eleven is the closest similar type of restaurant...I put the couple in the car and then I open the fifth door and let the other six into the cabin...then I see that the husband i the back seat has rolled his window down and his wife needs to talk to me before we head out ...she looks really anxious and tells me I am SUPER Claustrophobic , may I sit up front with you ? Well, I explained to her that I dont have a passenger seat up front ...only a console...she then tells me Im really having anxiety and i REALLY WANT TO DO THIS !!! so I asked her to roll her window down and I that I will go the most expedient route to get her there the quickest way ...of course, she has no idea where the Sea Grill is and how to get there the quickest ...I get into the drivers seat and ask back to her ...are you ready? You okay ? YES ,she says and then we rolled onto Fourth Street and were on our way ...we were all having a conversation and started asking her questions...she got totally into this and I felt that since she was being so brave and wanted this challenge , that i would take the normal route, which is the prettiest way to get to the Sea Grill..thats how I roll...my boss insists that I take the scenic route and show off our town...well, I went all the way to the foot of F Street and turned to get to E Street and approaching the Sea Grill this wonderful brave woman says ... Oh , were here, already ? We all laughed and praised her courageous efforts and well, they had a wonderful dinner ...they told me how much they loved their... dining experience...AFTER ...they had WALKED BACK to the hotel : ) It was a wonderful evening and I am ready to do it all over again tonight ..See you soon at The Humboldt Bay Inn
