There was a memo? I am not terribly active here but come to read every day and posts appear in my news feed. Fantastic group, so many gifted people posting here. Other than my participation in a very long thread concerning family history of certain North American colonial families, I am just watching and learning. About me: I teach college history (Western Civ and US history, mostly, though I have a very decent British and Russian history background) and English in Virginia, USA. My undergrad is in history, and I hold a MLS (archives and preservation emphasis), and Master of Arts in English literature and one in history. I am currently writing a memoir on some time I spent in the southern hemisphere. Married to an irascible Russian, parent to two grown kids and two wonderful grandkids. I do love genealogy and all historical research, and am active in a few lineage societies. I enjoy fencing and tennis and travel.
