There was a time when I admired Stephen A. Smith. But Stephen A. Smith has morphed into a certified sell-out for failing to live up to courage of his convictions. He buckled like a little boy who was fearful of being taken to the woodshed. And terribly so. Who do I admire now more than ever? Whoopie Goldberg. Why? Because shes keeping it real and being very honest when she says: Ladies: NEVER hit anyone! Period. But if you EVER hit a man, you should EXPECT to be hit back...!. Now that was what Stephen A. Smith essentially said last Friday. But he caved under the pressure of possibly losing his job. Its clear that when you have a law on the books that fails to make distinctions between violent acts regardless if theyre initiated by a man or a woman, then you have a law that fails in almost every aspect of its construction in terms of justice. So sad because from now on Ill always have in the back of my mind the thought that Stephen A. Smith will say anything the Corporate Brass at ABC/ESPN will demand he say.
