There was a time when I used to fret about whether or not to delete jerky comments on my social media pages. (Note: Jerky = adds nothing to the conversation, clearly just designed to be negative and/or inflammatory toward me or those involved. Constructive criticism and difference of opinions are NOT jerky, in my book). Reasons I fretted: -I believe strongly in freedom of speech -I was afraid it would be bad for my career somehow -I didnt want to create waves by deleting or blocking someone I am SO glad those days are long gone. Now I equate deleting/blocking to walking away if someone is an asshole to me on the street. You just made a comment that is clearly designed to just be vindictive? Well, I heard you, you had your chance to speak your piece, and now we will no longer be interacting. And Im certainly not going to give you the chance to make the same jerky comment to other people that I respect. Besides, those people have much more interesting things to say.
