There was definitely much uncertainty about what the weather conditions would be this weekend. Whilst one in native Scotland had received a fall of snow during the week, those further south had been slightly luckier having had only rain, rain and more rain together with a few bouts of hail. Temperatures had varied daily. 23 club members took part over 2 venues. Gorleston 4th Kyle Ella 18:31 34th John Scott 22:43 53rd Penny Studley 23:51 58th Pauline Leeves 24:11 59th Stephen Leeves 24:15 74th Paul Spandler 25:10 77th Michael Dale 25:23 79th Nina Simnett 25:24 (Parkrun pb) 80th Matthew Sutton 25:25 81st Paul Greensides 25:25 84th Elaine Stone 25:52 85th Rebecca Durant 25:55 (50th Parkrun and Parkrun pb) 114th Rachel Acamon-Carbonelli 28:27 129th Tamsin Desborough 29:38 130th John Figiel 30:28 140th Dianne Crosby 31:39 143rd Paul Westgate 31:48 152nd Mark Peach 33:59 178th David Girling 42:02 Fritton Lake 5th Andrew Baker 23:13 6th Nicola Baker 23:22 11th Cathy Tooley 26:20 15th Sue Fraser 26:47 With the sea being much cooler, which is probably quite normal for late November, it is deemed unnecessary to spend a great deal of time in the water to actually qualify for entry in the swimmers section. Still there were 3 brave souls who completed the challenge. Please note, this is still a free workout and we are seeking more volunteers for either/both 21 and 28 December. The only stipulation is that wet/dry suits are not acceptable clothing, the rest is up to you! Good luck to all those running tomorrow, Norwich half, Hadleigh 5 and any others we are unaware of. Last but not least, the post Croc Creek campers were fortunate to have the celebrity (Linda Thomson) running for their camp today, perhaps Snake Rock will have their turn next year!
