There was no excuse for the police to arrest Mr. Williamson in this case. I sincerely hope he sues the police department over this and wins BIG TIME. The way I see it, the police department owes Mr. Williamson a PUBLIC APOLOGY, financial restitution and the officer that arrested him should be seriously reprimanded for NOT doing his/her job and investigating to find out what actually happened here. If I was Mr. Williamson, I would also sue my former employer for wrongful termination being that they didnt even wait to see if he was actually convicted of a crime. This kind of stuff really makes me sick. We are taught to respect and trust the police and then they pull this kind of crap. As far as Im concerned, respect is EARNED and NOT always given.
