There were just a couple of bouquets of flowers outside of the Mughal family home in Stafford on Wednesday, scant evidence of the carnage that took place inside a day earlier. According to police, Fahad Mughal, 18, walked from room to room on Tuesday, gunning down his older brother and younger sister with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle before ending his own life with a blast from a single-barrel shotgun. Stafford police first learned of the incident around 2 p.m. Tuesday, when they received a 911 call from the siblings frantic mother, screaming that her baby was dead. The woman told arriving Stafford officers that she found two of her children in the home in the 13300 block of Venice Circle, a quiet neighborhood 18 miles southwest of downtown Houston. Leedom said that police then searched the home and found the bodies of Fahad, his sister, Rebecca, 15, and their brother, Faheem, 23, strewn about the residence. Police say they believe Fahad first went to his older brothers room and shot him, then went to his sisters bedroom and opened fire on her. A fourth sibling, a woman in her mid-20s, was attending classes at Houston Community College at the time of the slayings, police said. There was just a pile of shoes by the entrance, and a couple of bouquets of flowers leaning against a tree in the front yard. Neighbors said Faheem, the eldest brother, made his living working on cars at home. Officials said Fahad was in Staffords Quest Academy, an alternative education program designed primarily for at-risk high school students, 16 years of age or older, who have been repeatedly unsuccessful in the traditional high school setting, according to the programs website. #Houston #News
