There will never be anything perfect because perfect is - TopicsExpress

There will never be anything perfect because perfect is subjective. There is only humans working within the environment they find themselves in searching for means to accomplish their ends. Sometimes that means improving the world for lots of other people. Sometimes it results in loss for the acting party. This process of test/fail is primarily understood by some as market anarchy. But there is no omnipotent central planner, no government, no politician, no system of edicts one considers laws, and no state institution that can improve the world perfectly for everyone (if there is or ever has been one, please provide an example) -- because the means the political process uses to change the world will always impose on _someones_ property relationships, rendering subjective losses for at least that party (and who knows what unintended consequences that come along with whatever policy the central planners impose on the rest of us). So, the only thing one can do absent being a politician that blows smoke up everyones butt is work through the market process in an attempt to cooperate with as many parties one can with the hope of changing ones own world for the better -- which might help to change the world for others, too.
