There ìs a new mood rising. See TED-talk below. But subjectification (male attitude/fate) as thé alternative way out of objectification (female attitude/fate) is in my view not the key thing. Plato allready discussed values such as truth, good, and beauty, as values to strive for. What is the problem with a woman or a man spending time on their well being in all aspects, outer/inner/health/condition? Someone totaly disregarding their appearance is either a saint or a homeless junky. The relative disregard of males for their appearance will not easily be copied by women, and if so, that wouldnt make the world a better place to be in. To respect yourself is to take care of yourself, in my belief. The dichotomic schema itself might be part of the problem when combined with a tendency towards the extreme (an intrinsic aspect of capitalism). Autonomy is an issue. How to proceed? Which future??
