Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned--- for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come. ~Romans 5:12-14 +To tell you frankly, there are many disputations about these verses of the Holy Writ. For one reason of this disputations and argumentations is that not everyone is excellent with their understanding of the English grammar. Not to insult anyone, but that is the truth of the matter. So, now, I will break these verses down to make it more comprehensive to everyone to hear of what the Word of God is pointing out and saying. the phrase that says, Just as sin entered the world through one man, this phrase is talking about Adams decision to break Gods explicit command not to partake of the fruit of the tree of good and evil. And the next phrase, And in this way death came to all men. Now, this is were the confusion starts when it comes to comprehending the Holy Writ. To break it down even more, the phrase, IN THIS WAY is talking about the similarity of behavior of all men to disobey Gods command, though it is not the same exact sin of Adams offspring as biting the forbidden fruit..... but it is the same act of decisively disobeying God that brought forth sin to all men, individually speaking. The decision of Adam to disobey God is IN THIS WAY, shape or fashion that death came to all men. The misunderstanding here is that many people think that the one sin of Adam penalizes everyone else with death..... NO! For it continues that DEATH CAME TO ALL MEN, BECAUSE ALL SINNED meaning death came to everyone of us because we decided and choose to disobey God in the past..... thus, death reigned within our lives..... thus, everyone goes down to the grave..... awaiting for the resurrection of life, of which is in Gods decisive timing somewhere in the future. I hope that within this exposition, that I was able to present to you what the Holy Bible is saying to us all. These verses does not support the false doctrine of the original sin, though everyone knows that Adam and Eve did sin against God. If you have any further question about these verses, feel free to ask. But I do hope that these expository of the English grammar is sufficient enough. God bless you all. In Christ. Amen.+ ~np
