Theres a lot of talk about breakfast. I dont argue that its an important to eat - and to eat enough. What I do take issue with is people trying to force this notion of three meals a day - breakfast being one of them; eating within 20mins after waking; etc. What I would say is, listen to your body! Are you hungry when you first open your eyes? Are you hungry an hour later? Do you eat small meals often? Whatever it is, go with that. Just make sure you are eating enough. Evaluate your own eating habits. Are you taking in enough calories? Protein? Fiber? Etc. Personally, when I am up at 5am, Im not hungry. I workout without eating first. Sometimes, I just grab something super small. However, by 7am, Im hungry and know its food time. And I enjoy my food! Theres no forcing it down; no bad feelings. Just pure joy. :) You know your body better than anyone else. Listen to it. Let it be your guide.
