Theres a new modus operandi for government takeover. Its happing in healthcare and education and probably other areas of American life. Its a revolution by standardization. Heres the template. 1.)Take any particular sector of American life the federal govmnt has some degree of regulatory power. (anything) 2.) Identify the weakest parts of that system no matter how small and portray through through media and speeches as epidemic problems until everyone is so scared they will accept the new federal standards. 3.) Implement sweeping new standards that promise to raise the quality of that system through a federal system of scoring. IMPORTANT: These standards must be designed in such a dysfunctional and convoluted way that they actually produce mass failure in the system. 4.) When that the particular system is in shambles and wreckage, declare such a state of emergency that a full federal takeover of the system is required. 5.) Repeat as neccessary until the fed runs everything. Would like to hear examples from healthcare and educators and other professions who are seeing this pattern.
