Theres a popular meme on Facebook that basically says posts on social media never change anyones mind. My opinion is a little biased of course but I think in general they can. Have you ever read something on social media that changed your views on an issue or about a certain political ideology? Theres a negative connotation around talking politics on social media and believing things you read on social media. But social media is just a tool for messaging and people share things to create a sort of persona they want to portray to the world. I would never advise anyone to believe everything on social media but I would also advise looking at it as a tool for conveying ideas that shouldnt be dismissed simply because of the platform.
