Theres a story in the news today and a movie in a similar vein on TV that **IF** they are as true as they claim to be, are very important. news.au/lifestyle/real-life/pip-taylor-develops-amazing-ability-to-draw-after-suffering-brain-injury/story-fnixwvgh-1226859488803 and this movie: imdb/title/tt3037766/ **IF** these stories are indeed exactly as they say they are, (and as they are from Britain I accept that that is a big IF), then they are important evidence that events that are normally devastatingly negative - such as a trauma blow to the head - can create an improvement ( for want of a better word) over what is genetically currently extant. And I am not trying to minimuise for a moment the trauma that this woman must have suffered. Those who oppose Darwinian evolution say outright that these sorts of things simply do not, and cannot, occur. A fundamental dogma of their beliefs is that improvements, and even more importantly, sudden large creation of information, simply cannot occur via accidents, and has never been demonstrated to do so. That they actually do occur (and again I say, IF they are true), is excellent evidence that such people are incorrect.
