Theres an old Chinese adage that goes: Small loss brings big win. At UFC Fight Night Halifax, Canada, my student Li The Leech Jingliang fought as an underdog to a popular Canadian fighter and lost by split decision. However, fans and media contend that Leech should have won that fight. It doesnt matter. He was the faster, stronger and more aggressive fighter, and he did more damage to his opponent who had to be carried out of the cage. In the end, by losing this way, he got the attention of the UFC and the MMA world. He proved that he is the best Chinese prospect in the UFC today. He lost by a tiny point but he walked out a huge winner. Im proud of him!
