Theres bad news for fans of Stacey Branning.The Albert Square favourite will be heading out of Walford again later this year but dont panic just yet, actress Lacey Turner assures viewers that she sees EastEnders as her new full-time home. The reason for Staceys departure is that, in real life, the star is travelling to South Africa to film a new five-part series, Our Girl. Lacey starred in the one-off drama last year, which told the tale of a young girl who signs up to the Army. The show was a hit with viewers and critics, so a longer run has now been ordered, after which Lacey will return to Albert Square, a place shes happy to settle in once more. I get people saying, Why have you gone back there?. I say, Because I love it! grins Lacey. Its right for me. Some people want to go off and make movies, I just want to make EastEnders. Staceys temporary departure from the Square will come as she desperately tries to end her life on the run and resume her life in Walford. As evil Janine is holding the key to Staceys freedom, there are plenty of twists ahead, one of which will see Stacey make her brief exit from the Square later this year.
