Theres growing speculation of Manohar Parrikar replacing Rajnath Singh as the new Union Home Minister of India while Rajnath may become Union Defense Minister. As a dissenter & a resident of Delhi (where the police is under the Union Home Ministers control), I hope this speculation turns out to be true. For some shred of dissent & freedom to survive in Neo-Liberal Hindu India, Ministry of Home (not just for Delhiites but for all Indians) needs moderates like Parrikar, Arun Jaitley or Yashwant Sinha instead of hardliners like Rajnath, Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj, Uma Bharti or (I dread this one the most) - Dr. Subramanian Swamy. And Rajnath may really get Defense ministry given that hes in Israel these days.
