Theres not too much sadder than an owner dumping her senior dog at a high kill shelter. Well maybe that same owner practically giving him a death sentence..... She said he was tearing up her house and didnt listen to her anymore, so she wanted to give him up. Oh, and hes not fond of small children or other dogs. Poor Shadow landed at a high kill shelter with multiple strikes against him - senior, black, Chow (gasp, those dogs are mean!), owner saying negative things about him. Hes very lucky the shelter kept him alive after being surrendered. But by some strange twist of fate they did. The seniors really get us when you know how depressed and bewildered they must feel in a loud, cold shelter after living their whole life with one family. So Shadow, welcome to CCRCNY. Once he is ready to leave the shelter he will be fostered in TN. We will update with more information as we learn about him.
