Theres something about street food that pretty much instantly makes us go, O Yeah! I guess its the amalgamation of raw and rugged flavors that lend a distinct and separate taste to it altogether. I love street food, we all love street food. So during my last days in Istanbul I was walking near Taksim and saw this vendor in a park selling meatball wraps. I stood for a while, observed what he was doing and I was convinced that this is what I needed. In broken Turkish I said Bir Durum (One wrap) and he took out a huge flatbread rolled it a little and placed it on his grill, added some meatballs, tomatoes, cabbage, piyaz and some spice and I was good to go. Just a bite later I was like, where were you all this while? The meatballs and onions were so beautifully spiced and loaded with flavors that It became the highlight of my street food meal that day. 5* to this one. Big on size and low on price is what a lot of street food in Turkey is all about.
