Theres war, strife, pestilence---then theres Gabriels Oboe from the movie The Mission. Heart warming solo piece with orchestra accompaniment, composed and conducted by the music genius himself, Ennio Morricone. Most of the oboe piece is indicated to be played rubato---meaning that the player is free to take (rob) time value from some of the notes and carry it on to adjacent ones, to extend them with feeling. Pay close attention to the oboe player (pictured here), for the manner in which he uses his fingers to press the instrument keys is an art in itself. Beautiful music with chorus in the second half. Arts, Music, Dance, Literature---God opens his window when we use his greatest gifts. Our chance to take a glimpse of him. (9 minutes) D/ https://youtube/watch?v=zL7CDcVQjbM
