There’s a Kid, by me of course There’s a classroom filled with happy faces who sit at wooden tables on hard chairs. with a thirst for knowledge and a not much hope in their empty souls.. There’s a kid in the corner who doesn’t like to speak. Visions fill his head of all the people he will save. Lingering in the back of his mind are thoughts of suicide. Theres a kid up front who has dreams Of all the cures she will find. She waits for her chance to shine in science But deep within are the voices That keep her dreams away when they whisper and scream No. There’s a kid with hidden arms. Who tears up at night because of the nightmares living in his house. Crouching in the corner are the demons who encourage his pain. Here’s to all of the souls that waste their time in a class where spirits are crushed beaten and burned. Here’s to the teachers who try their best to kill the monsters that yell No.
