These Fun Facts are about the classic film, Schindlers List: (1) Supposedly, the atmosphere on the set was so grim and depressing that Steven Spielberg asked Robin Williams to do some comedy sketches in order to lighten the mood a bit. (2) Spielberg became determined to make the film after studio executes asked him why he didnt just make a donation rather than waste time and money on a depressing film. (3) Censors in the Philippines wanted to edit graphic footage for the films release. Spielberg threatened to pull the film out unless it was shown unedited. Filipino President intervened, overruled the censors and the film was shown unedited. (4) Both Kevin Costner and Mel Gibson offered to appear in the film, but it was felt that a major star would be a distraction. (5) Spielberg worked on Schindlers List while Jurassic Park was still in post-production. His work on JP was done via satellite, with some help from George Lucas.
