These are four pieces that are in progress, theyre tiny babies, none of them is more than 12 inches. With the work that Ive been doing lately, Ive been intending to explore objectification, so in these, Im trying to reduce the women to less than human and less than alive. Its also imagery that Ive always been drawn to, but now Im using the language to try say something specific. The purple painting is titled Modified storage space and the yellow and red painting is titled Storage Space. These two are oil on gessoed canvas and the other two, which dont have a title but belong to a series of unwilling slaves are graphite on paper. #art #feminism #objectification
