These are images of a primary school 10 KM outside Gaborone,in Metsimotlhabe. the Primary school is called Serameng, currently has 16 class rooms(one of which is used as a make shift computer lab,so in total the they have 15 class rooms) and 800+ students,a block of 2 pit latrines toilets ,a library located within the staff(so basically a non existent library) About 5 class rooms are housed underneath several trees or in front of other class rooms... My question today is what could have gone wrong? Who do we ask? Where do we go to fix, what is clearly wrong. How do we help our government, how do help secure the future of this country? Does it look like we have decentralized services? What role must I play? The Former President of Botswana, Festus Mogae once, said, “One more day of delayed action is a day too late for our people, ... Our people are crying out for help. Let us respond while there is time.” As a nation we need serious help, its down wright shame and so sad to see that in the 21st century, children of a population less than 4 million are still being taught underneath trees, they still use pit latrines, they do not have access to a library or a computer lab and all of this is happening just a little 10 KM outside Gaborone.
