These are just some of the things our students have learned in the recent weeks at Millwood School: Upper school Physics students learned about speed and velocity by testing various walking styles over a 20 space! How fun! 1st grade is working on making words using Boggle. 2nd grade is learning the multiple meaning of words. We all know vocabulary is essential for quality writing! 5th graders have been learning about people who learn differently. They have learned about Amelia Earhart, Marie Currie, Jacques Cousteau, Louise Pasteur, Jane Goodall..... All these famous people took a different perspective than the norm and consequently made great strides and great contributions in many areas.
