These are my opinions only but I just want to voice my concerns. First, I Love this City, my children were brought up and raised here and its been the happiest place for me and my family. At one time, it was a small city great environment, but as we grew we lost who we were and what this city stood for....... Their are a few issues that I would like to address and maybe someone will understand my concerns. Ive lived here in the City of Glendora for 38 years and Im blessed. I dont have a big house on the hill but I do have a little cottage that is 550 sq. ft. and its my little peace of Heaven. I have a little yard where I can sit and view our beautiful mountains and it so peaceful. Im probably happier than most because of the way I perceive life and live it one day at a time and enjoy every single moment. Well, I saw these problems coming a long time ago. The Services. Police and Fire. are really going to be over burdened because of the new developments and the pending ones. Thank goodness we have a great Police Chief and hes probably already addressing the problems that will developing in the future. You have Metro, running through the main part of The City of Glendora that will be great for the commenters who will be using this service. What about emergency responses when the Police and Fire Departments are located above the tracks. Did anyone look at the schedules that Metro or the regular rails will be running during the day and what impact these will have on City Services? More people the more services that are going to be required in order for cover the influx. Development: Why it happened and how it happened are now history. The problem is when mistakes are made and you dont learn from them and the same mistakes are being made time and time again. Then these arent mistakes but other peoples agendas. These developments need to slow down and the problems need to be addressed. Vermont mistake should have sent red flags when they were built. Some people profited but it wasnt worth the gamble for others. Growth equals profits but limits need to be evaluated. Are all the townhomes sold at the corner of Glendora avenue and Ada? Now, how about the development on the corner of Glendora avenue and Route 66. Wow... its overwhelming. Ive seen the different stages and Im at a loss for words. What are they doing? I hear their are other projects on the books for Route 66 west of Grand and one near Lone Hill. Dont you think it would be a great idea to see what happens with the ... As I call them.... The Towers of Glendora. Another study can be done to evaluate these problems before future ........ are made. Farmers Market..... some ones agenda. I know why and I know how, just another part of history. As I was told so many years ago.... The person with the money has the power and its all about their bottom line. Little did they know what the city would end up losing by letting Claremont pick it up... Downtown will never be the same. It still has a downtown feeling when you go for walks in the evening, especially when all the business are closed. Nice.... This is better than any council meeting.... You only have 3 minutes to address any issues during session. This is Great....
