These are our competition subjects and judging dates for the current session: OPEN – 28th October; prints and projected images, any subject. PRINTS ONLY -18th November; open, mounted, colour or monochrome. MOST COMMERCIALLY VIABLE - 9th December; open, prints and projected images of subject and quality suitable for any commercial purpose, calendars, postcards, travel brochures, adverts etc. SUBTLE HUMOUR – 16th December; anything which has the club in mild stitches, prints or projected images. LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE – 27th January; prints and projected images. Landscape should be natural landscape as opposed to townscape, and seascape should be natural seascape as opposed to harbours, town beaches etc. In either subject, boats, buildings, people etc should be merely incidental. ARGYLL CUP – 10th February; prints and projected images of Oban streets. Anything to do with street life; buildings, close-ups, crowds, events etc. PEOPLE – 17th February; anything in which people are the main subject; at work, candid portraits, close-ups, on stage etc, but not studio portraits. NATURE – 3rd March; animals, birds, insects, trees, flowers, geology etc; anything from the natural world, excepting landscape. SPORT – 10th March; prints and projected images on anything connected with any sport, indoors or out.
