These are pix of Sol coming out to his school yesterday. We are all very, very proud. In the span of one single day I watched Sol grow into himself in a brand new way; hes here. Hes embodied. Hes strong, and funny, and honest, and open. Sol handled questions on deeply personal matters with amazing composure, openness, grace, and depth. He was frank, and unfazed. I havent had any doubt that this was the right thing for Sol - his coming home to his authentic gender expression - but had I had them, yesterday would have erased them completely. I watched Sol grow from a shy kid into a self-possessed young man yesterday. Sometimes it happens like that. The grace just descended. So proud of you, kiddo; my proud, courageous son.
