These are some of the details included in the draft bill on cremation which is still before the House of Representatives. The cremation process includes the loading of the coffin in the incinerator and placing of the resulting ash in the urn. However, it should be noted that the law prohibits placing urns (in which ashes are contained) in any river, lake, dam or water transport channel. The urns can be buried in the so-called remembrance space, namely special places found in cremation centres or within any cemetery (garden, fountain, etc). No mention of dumping in the sea. Does it mean that ashes after cremation can be dumped there? incyprus.philenews/en-gb/Cyprus/4170/39507/church-opposed-to-cremation
