These are the 11 kittens arrived yesterday.Four from Charlie Creek area left in one of our volunteers truck. Seven brought in because they were moving. All loaded with fleas. All have been tested negative for Leukemia/Fiv vaccinated and Flea meds applied. wormed as well.Really sad to us who work so hard on a daily basis to help the animals and have programs in place ,yet some people still choose to not Spay and Neuter.When these kittens and puppies are born they dont take responsibility for them either.They choose to dump on someone else to take care of them. They dont want to take to Animal Control because they will kill them.Key here is PREVENTION.SPAY and NEUTER. If you dont have the time or want to care for puppies and kittens than SPAY and NEUTER!!A stray is considered your responsibility if you feed it for 3 days or more.We have a low cost program in this county $35.00 dog or cat.We have a TNVR program for stray cats no charge!Still baffle us why so many still being abandoned.Please SPAY and NEUTER dont abandon animals you have no desire to care for and dump elsewhere.
