These are the three major initiatives announced by the President: (1) Expansion of DACA coverage (USCIS will start accepting applications approximately 90 days from now): no more UPPER AGE RESTRICTION (people above 30 years old can apply) and continuous residence requirement is from 01/01/2010 instead of 6/15/2007. (2) DAPA (Deferred Action for Parental Accountability) for parents of US citizens and green card holders (USCIS will start accepting applications approximately 180 days from now) who will meet the following requirements: - continuous residence in the US since 01/01/2010 - US citizen/green card holder child born on or before 11/20/2014 - not an enforcement priority for removal (3) Expansion of I-601A Provisional Waivers of Unlawful Presence (no date set for implementation, yet): sons and daughters of US citizens (F-1 or F-3 category) and spouse (F-2A) and sons or daughters (F-2A or F-2B) of lawful permanent residents. PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE INITIATIVES HAVE NOT YET BEEN IMPLEMENTED. BEWARE OF ANYONE WHO OFFERS TO HELP YOU SUBMIT AN APPLICATION OR A REQUEST FOR ANY OF THESE ACTIONS BEFORE THEY ARE AVAILABLE.
