These days Ive been doing much praying for racial justice and reconciliation. My prayers begin as our Lutheran liturgy begins-- with confession-- how I have sinned in thought, word, and deed-- by what Ive done and not done, some of my sins are known to me, others unknown. In these days, Im humbled, not knowing what it has been to walk in the shoes of people of color. May the God of life show us how to heal and not destroy the lives of others. Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Amen
